The third medical team from Shanxi aids Djibouti’s “Elimination of Cataract Blindness Project” sets off. The medical team consists of 7 medical staff from Heji Hospital Affiliated to Changzhi Medical College and 1 doctor from Heping Hospital.
In December 2021, the Shanxi Provincial Health Commission and the Hong Kong Sharing Foundation signed a memorandum of cooperation. They plan to perform 6,000 to 7,000 free cataract sight restoration surgeries within 3 to 5 years.
