  In 2021, Heji Hospital Affiliated to Changzhi Medical College organized and dispatched the 21st batch of medical teams from China (Shanxi) to Yaoundé, Cameroon.   In December 2021, the Shanxi Provincial Health Commission and the Hong Kong Sharing Foundation signed a memorandum of cooperation to aid Djibouti's "Elimination of Cataract Blindness Project" and plan to perform 6,000 to 7,000 free cataract sight restoration surgeries in Djibouti within 3 to 5 years.

  It is reported that in 2023, Shanxi Provincial Eye Hospital has sent two batches of medical teams to perform the above tasks, screening a total of 2,517 cases and successfully performing 1,686 operations, bringing hope and light to the local people.
