The General Administration of Customs reports typical cases of unqualified quality and safety of imported consumer goods. In 2023, national customs detected 357 batches of un qualified consumer goods, with an overall failure rate of 7.18%.

125 batches of imported light industrial products were found to be unqualified, including cases where the movable element chromium in toys exceeded the standard. 131 batches of imports of textile products were also found unqualified. The customs returned or destroyed them in accordance with the "Import and Export Commodity Inspection Law" and its implementation regulations.
