Quique Setién was sacked from his job as FC Barcelona coach, three days after his team's defeat (8-2) against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals, the Catalan club announced on Monday.
"Meeting on Monday, the FC Barcelona board announced that Quique Setién is no longer the coach of the first football team. This is the first decision taken regarding the large restructuring of the first team of the Barça, which will be done in agreement with the current technical direction and the new coach, who will be unveiled in the coming days, "Barça said in a statement.
