The Law on the Maintenance of National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was formulated by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress in accordance with the “Decision of the National People’s Congress on Establishing and Perfecting the Legal System and Enforcement Mechanism for the Maintenance of National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” adopted by the Third Session of the 13th National People’s Congress. This law consists of 6 chapters and 66 articles, and it is a comprehensive law with substantive law, procedural law and organizational law. The law clearly stipulates the responsibilities and institutions for maintaining national security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the crimes of splitting the country, subverting the state power, the crime of terrorist activities, collusion with foreign or foreign forces to endanger national security, and the jurisdiction, application and procedures of the law , The Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to maintain national security agencies and other content, the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to maintain national security legal systems and enforcement mechanisms.
