A man suspected of sexual assault in a retirement home in Rennes was arrested last week, we learned from the public prosecutor, confirming information from Ouest-France . An employee of the establishment but not a caregiver, the 59-year-old individual was arrested at his workplace.

According to the daily, the fifties entered the residents' room before assaulting them sexually. Three victims have so far been identified.

The individual was placed in pre-trial detention pending trial on August 10 before the criminal court. He will be prosecuted for "sexual assaults on vulnerable persons by a person abusing the authority conferred by his functions". He faces up to ten years in prison.
