He stressed that the virtual clinics guarantee safe communication and keeping confidential information, and the identity of the patient is confirmed before beginning the consultation.
He explained that the telemedicine system provided the patient with an easy mechanism to manage his health matters from home, without the need to attend in person.
He added: “After the end of the Corona pandemic, there will be no such thing as 100% hypothetical medicine or 100% return to traditional medicine. Although the Covid-19 virus surprised the world, we learned a lot from it and we were able to interact with the matter and make plans. Work to ensure the highest levels of security and safety for patients. ”
Al-Hitti explained that remote diagnosis includes two types of patients, the first is a known patient and follows with the doctor before, and the second type is a new patient that communicates for the first time with the doctor, pointing out that the first type of patients is easy to deal with through the virtual clinic, where the doctor has history Patients are the complete person, and in the event of the need for analyzes or radiation, it can be performed in the nearest health facility for the patient, and the results are sent, so that the treatment can be renewed or changed, or it will be dispatched and sent to the patient’s home.
He pointed out that the second type of new patients, the possibilities are determined based on the virtual consultation, and arranging one visit for the patient to do all the rays, analyzes and required procedures, to prepare an integrated medical file for the patient, after which the case can be followed through the virtual clinic.
Al-Hitiati added: “From the actual work, I follow up at least 25 patients daily through the virtual clinic, which is twice the number of cases that the doctor follows in the same time period in the traditional clinic in the hospital, where the patient takes longer.”
He pointed out that the dates of the virtual clinic are predetermined, which allows the doctor to prepare the patient's file and view his patients' history a day before, and determine the possibilities and the procedure to be taken.
