“We came to the conclusion that we have nothing more to discuss at the negotiating table with the South Korean authorities, which over time cause only disappointment,” RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.

It is indicated that on June 8 a meeting was held in the DPRK to review the work of the departments dealing with relations with South Korea.

During the meeting, its participants “first instructed to completely turn off all communication lines between the North and the South”.

The report also says that Pyongyang will completely “liquidate” the communication line with Seoul on June 9 from 12:00.

In early May, the South Korean agency Ronhap reported that the South Korean border post in the demilitarized zone was fired from by the DPRK.
