In this context, he sent Prime Minister Modi an invitation to take part in the next G7 summit to be held in the United States, ”the press release said.
Modi praised Trump's “creative and visionary approach,” which will be in line with the new realities amid the pandemic situation.
He also expressed readiness to cooperate with the United States and other countries to ensure the success of such a summit.
Modi and Trump also discussed protests in the United States and the fight against coronavirus infection COVID-19.
Earlier it became known that Trump is going to postpone the G7 summit until the fall, inviting four more states to the event.
On June 1, Trump in a telephone conversation told Russian President Vladimir Putin about his idea of holding a G7 summit.
