A witness who had seen the man had run after him toward the E20, then joined a police patrol.
When the police approached the man he drove off and in connection with it the police were lightly injured.
A persecution began and ended after about two kilometers when the driver himself stopped.
The driver is now suspected of, among other things, violence against an official, gross negligence in traffic, unlawful driving, unlawful departure from a traffic accident site and not stopping at the police's sign.
