If Turkish interests are hit in Libya, General Khalifa Haftar's forces will be deemed legitimate targets. This is what Ankara said today, after the commander of the Haftar air force, Saqr al-Jaroshi, announced for "the next few hours the largest air campaign in the history of Libya", adding that "all the positions and interests Turks in all the cities are legitimate targets for our air force. " 

The forces of the self-proclaimed Libyan National Army (LNA), led by Haftar and supported by the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Russian mercenaries, launched the offensive in April 2019 to conquer the Libyan capital, but the military support guaranteed by Ankara It has allowed the government of national accord in Tripoli (Jon) to take control in the last days of the air base of Al Watiya, located 140 kilometers south-west of Tripoli, in the hands of Haftar from 2014 and which military operations were launched in the western part of Libya, and has induced the LNA to withdraw two or three kilometers from the front line which has been more than one year south of the capital. 

The forces of the Tripoli National Agreement Government have meanwhile arrived in the center of the city of Asbiah, south of the Libyan capital, where the fighters of the self-proclaimed Haftar army had fled, retreating after losing the base of Al Watiya. Al Ahrar TV reported this, citing military sources on the ground. Asbiah is located between Tripoli and Tarhuna, the next target of Tripoli's government forces.
