Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba is an engineer and businessman who leads the Libyan government. He worked in the field of trade and then assumed the presidency of the Administrative Centers Development Authority until the outbreak of the Libyan revolution.

He was elected president of the transitional government in 2012. After being chosen as Prime Minister, he set out to resolve the deteriorating security situation in Libya. He stressed that he would work to limit weapons to the hands of the state and that the state would provide security services.
