The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Yousef bin Alawi, delivered a message from the Sultan of his country, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on regional and international issues.

The Qatar News Agency reported that the Emir of Qatar met bin Alawi at his office at Qasr Al Bahr in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Monday evening.

The agency added that the message "relates to the strong brotherly relations between the two countries, ways to enhance and develop them, and the most prominent regional and international issues of common concern."

The Omani Foreign Minister also met with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani. During the meeting, bilateral cooperation relations were reviewed, and issues of common concern were discussed.

The visit is the second of its kind for Youssef bin Alwi in the Gulf. He visited Kuwait last Thursday to deliver a message from the Sultan of his country to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
