The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, called for an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people. He said that the world “is witnessing the genocide of thePalestinian people using starvation and forced displacement” in the Gaza Strip.
This came in a speech by the Emir in Paris, where he arrived earlier on a two-day visit. Qatar and France announced on the sidelines of the visit an initiative for cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid. Three planes belonging to the Qatari Armed Forces arrived in the city of Al-Arish in Egypt carrying 75 tons of aid.
