The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, called for an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people, and said that the world “is witnessing the genocide of the Palestinian people using starvation and forced displacement” in the Gaza Strip.

This came in a speech by the Emir of Qatar in Paris, where he arrived earlier on a two-day visit.

The Emir of Qatar said, "We must put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people," adding, "The international community is still failing to protect civilians in Gaza."

Qatar News Agency reported that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, held a discussion session on Tuesday with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris regarding developments in the situation in Gaza.

The agency reported that Qatar and France announced on the sidelines of the visit an initiative for cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians trapped in the Gaza Strip.

In implementation of the cooperation initiative, today three planes belonging to the Qatari Armed Forces arrived in the city of Al-Arish in Egypt carrying 75 tons of humanitarian aid.

The planes carry 10 ambulances, shelter supplies, and food supplies, provided by the State of Qatar and France, and will be transported to Gaza.
