For Therese Willstedt, it means a lot to be included in the list.

- It feels fantastic. It is a tremendously important award and an important tradition that has influenced women's position in society, says Therese Willstedt.

She is both CEO and performing arts director at the Blekinge and Kronoberg regional theater. A role she enjoys doing well. But it's not always easy to be a manager.

- I am humbled by that role and it has become some sleepless nights.

How would you describe yourself as a leader?

- Brave and progressive. For me, it is important with us and a strong collaboration. It should be high in ceilings and there is honest dialogue and communication. I am a visionary.

Worked around Europe

Therese Willstedt is a trained director and has long been freelancing as a director. She has served on various management groups for various institutions in Europe, including in Germany and at the Royal Theater in Copenhagen.

She has not strived to become a leader.

- But I have dreamed of being able to influence. I want to do something for the community, I have that drive. But you don't have to be a leader to do that.

Right now, she has no plans to change jobs.

- I feel I'm not done here yet. But I won't stay on this record forever, says Therese Willstedt.
