Ajman police managed - in a process called "dark containers" - to seize a gang consisting of 12 people of Arab and Asian nationalities, who smuggled 83 cars rented from rental cars outside the country by containers on the basis that they were home utensils from one of the ports designated for shipping in the country.

In detail, the Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, confirmed that a report received by the police in January from one of the private car rental offices indicates the loss of one of the cars he rented, indicating that by investigation and collection of information it was revealed that there is a gang that runs the process of smuggling cars to Outside the country, after renting it from rental offices and selling it to other people at half the price.

He continued: "By following the reports received at the beginning of the case and tracking the data of the tenants, the gang members were reached, as it was found that they are shipping cars from the shipping ports as household utensils." He pointed out that communication was done with the border crossings in the neighboring country, and most cars were retrieved.

He pointed out that the number of cars that were stolen and smuggled 83 was worth 6.35 million dirhams, as 55 cars were returned, 17 of which were seized before they left the country’s crossings, and contacting the relevant authorities in neighboring countries to return the rest of the cars is taking place, pointing out that the number of those involved in the case is 14 A person of multiple nationalities, 12 persons and two people who were still fugitives were arrested and the competent authorities were informed about them to arrest them, indicating that they are from the youth category and their ages between 30 and 40 years.

He pointed out that most of the owners of the offices did not know that their cars were stolen because they were renting them to people for long periods, and they learned about the matter after their cars left the country and informed the police about this.
