Turkish Health Minister Fakhruddin Kuja said that the number of cases of coronavirus in his country rose to 82 thousand and 329 cases, so that Turkey is the highest in the Middle East, surpassing Iran for the first time, which has recorded 80,860 cases so far.

Turkey recorded an increase of 3,783 confirmed cases within 24 hours, which also brought it closer to the total number of cases in China where the disease appeared.

Goja said that 121 injured people died during that period, which brought the total number of deaths in the country to 1890. The total number of people recovering has reached 10,453 people so far.

The Turkish Interior Ministry said it had extended travel restrictions between 31 cities for an additional 15 days from midnight on Saturday.
