The Ministry of Community Development, in cooperation with the National Committee for Volunteerism in Crises, launched the national campaign “UAE Volunteers” to adopt and support volunteers at the country level who wish to contribute to the efforts made to combat the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19). The campaign provides two types of volunteering, field and virtual, according to their expertise and skills, through the website (www.volunteers.ae)
Field volunteering provides dedicated volunteer opportunities for those with experience in the medical field, or any other disciplines through which they can support the bodies that are on the first lines of defense to tackle the Corona virus.
As for virtual volunteering, it provides remote volunteering opportunities for different members of society, enabling them to contribute to the campaign by providing their own experiences and skills from their homes to keep them safe. Individuals and organizations can participate in the campaign through virtual or field volunteering opportunities alike.
