The assistant undersecretary for consular affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Khaled Al-Mazrouei, said that «the ministry, upon learning of the presence of two of its citizens on the ship, and through its operations room, and through our embassies abroad, to communicate with them daily, and to coordinate with the company responsible for the ship , Landing the citizens, and returning them home safely, ”noting the efforts made by the UAE embassies and consulates in Argentina, Brazil and the Consulate General in New York.
He pointed out that the UAE is keen on the safety of its citizens during a television statement broadcast by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its official account, as most of those stranded on the ship of other nationalities have not been landed yet.
Mohamed al-Muhairi, who is returning to the country recently, said that the country's embassies contacted him and provided him with full support, thanking the Emirati diplomatic efforts that enabled him to return to the homeland.
