“The first deliveries of modernized T-90M“ Breakthrough ”tanks to the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District, deployed in 5 regions of Russia, began in April of this year,” Lieutenant General Sergey Kissel, TASS quoted the commander of the Guards Tank Army.
According to him, at present, training has been completed in managing, shooting, and conducting combat on new tanks.
“In the tank army, several dozen types of simulators are used: for training crews of the T-80, T-72B3, T-90 tanks,” he added.
During the control check during the winter training period, it is planned to conduct live firing from new tanks.
Earlier it was reported that the T-72B3M and T-90M tanks are equipped with a protection system against the effects of chemical and biological weapons.
