France "continues its high plateau phase," the French Ministry of Solidarity and Health said on Monday (April 13th) in a press release. With 574 additional deaths in 24 hours, the number of deaths in the country now stands at 14,967.

The daily death toll is up slightly from Sunday.

"At the hospital, 9,588 deaths have been reported since March 1. In social and medico-social establishments and over the same period, it amounted to 5,379 deaths linked to Covid-19," said the ministry.

"High plateau" phase

The statement also added that "in the past 24 hours, 227 new Covid-19 patients have been admitted to intensive care. The balance of intensive care admissions, which represents the total number of patients to be treated more each day is for the fifth consecutive day negative of 24 patients. "

Thus, the authorities indicate that the "dynamic observed in recent days" confirms that "France is currently in a phase of 'high plateau'".
