The Paris Stock Exchange began in sharp decline (-3.10%) Wednesday, after a decline of more than 25% in the first quarter of 2020, investors still struggling to gauge the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, in particular in the USA.

At 9:00 a.m. (7:00 a.m. GMT), the CAC 40 index lost 136.18 points to 4,259.94 points. The day before, it had finished a modest increase of 0.40%.
