British Prime Minister Boris Johnson today urged citizens to stay home and ordered the closure of establishments.

"As of tonight I must give the British people a very simple instruction: 'Stay home,'" said the 'premier' in a televised appearance addressed to the nation. He has dismissed the pandemic as "critical" and has pointed out that its expansion must be stopped.

"It is the greatest threat the country faces in decades," Johnson has said, a phrase reminiscent of that uttered by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Johnson has pointed out the only reasons for leaving homes.
