New coronavirus first death in Israel March 21 6:36
The Israeli Ministry of Health announced yesterday that an 88-year-old man infected with the new coronavirus had died at his hospital in Jerusalem. This is the first time that an infected person has died in Israel.
With a population of more than 8 million, Israel has 705 infected people, nine of which are severely affected.
Due to a surge in the number of infected people, the Israeli government issued a curfew on the 19th, prohibiting anyone from going out except buying food or going to hospital.
