March 20, 2020 The number of positive deaths for Covid-19 who have one or more pre-existing diseases remains high. It is one of the data contained in the epidemiological study published today by the ISS on the epicenter site, together with the detailed report on the deceased patients.

The average number of pathologies observed in this population is 2.7 (median 2, Standard Deviation 1.6). Overall, 6 patients (1.2% of the sample) had 0 pathologies, 113 (23.5%) had 1 pathology, 128 had 2 pathologies (26.6%) and 234 (48.6%) had 3 or more pathologies.

36 deaths under 50, 9 in their thirties
To date, we always read in the death report, 36 of the 3200 (1.1%) COVID-19 positive deceased patients under the age of 50 years. In particular, 9 of these were less than 40 and were 8 male and 1 female with the ages between 31 and 39 years. Of 2 patients under the age of 40 years, no clinical information is available, the other 7 had serious pre-existing pathologies (cardiovascular, renal, psychiatric pathologies, diabetes, obesity).

Much lower than the average age of the infected health workers
Among health workers infected with the Sars-Cvov-2 virus, the average age is much lower than that of the general population (49 instead of 63), and the proportion between men and women is reversed, with 35.8% being male gender.
