The airline SAS announced this week that 10,000 employees will be laid off, but now many of the employees may be offered care training. The offer comes from the educational company Novare and Sophiahemmet University to relieve the pressure on health care.

- It was very quick for me and my colleagues to decide on organizing this education, because we can immediately see that this is a crucial contribution to preventing the coronary infection and relieving the health care, says Johanna Adami, principal at Sophiahemmet University College .

Care training for three days

1,100 people have received the offer and just over 200 people have reported their interest so far. In a couple of weeks a test session with 30 people will be run. The training is for a total of three days.

- The cabin crew has solid and basic knowledge of health care, hygiene and safety. So we will now link our education to what they already have, says Johanna Adami.
