The number of deaths and injuries in several European countries hit a record high today, as many European countries decided to restrict entry to their lands due to fears of the spread of the virus.

Here are the latest stats:

Italia
157 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of deaths to 1441, while about 5,000,000 new cases were recorded, bringing the total number of people infected to 21,157.

Spain
The total number of deaths rose to 190, and the Ministry of Health had registered 1,500 new cases of the Coronavirus, taking the number of infections in the country to 5,753, an increase of about a third from Friday.

Holland
150 new infections were reported, bringing the total number to 959.

Norway
She announced her second death from the virus, and the infection had risen to 907.

Denmark
The number of confirmed cases of the virus increased to 827, and the authorities closed their borders with neighboring countries.

Belgium
The fourth death was recorded, and the number of injuries rose to 689.

Britain
10 new deaths were recorded for people infected with the Coronavirus, which brings the total number in the United Kingdom to 21, while the number of infections reached 1140.

France
The authorities announced the death of 12 people infected with the virus, bringing the total number to 91 deaths, but they stated that 98% of the infected people were recovering, and decided to close unnecessary cafes, clubs and shops starting from tonight to confront Corona.

United State
US Vice President Mike Pence announced the expansion of the travel ban from Europe to the United States to include Britain and Ireland.

Pence told a White House press conference that the ban would start at midnight Monday, EST.

In Israel, the number of people infected with the virus increased to 193.

Arab and Islamic
On the Arab level, the Al-Jazeera correspondent said that the Jordanian government decided to suspend schools and universities from tomorrow to confront the Corona virus, and announced that all flights with abroad will be suspended from Tuesday until further notice, with the exception of air shipping.

On the other hand, the Moroccan Ministry of Health announced the registration of 9 new infections with the Coruna virus, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus to 17.

Morocco decided to suspend flights to and from 21 countries, including Egypt, Bahrain, the Emirates, Senegal, Greece, Norway and Sweden.

For its part, Algeria announced the third death and 10 new injuries, bringing the number to 37.

In Iraq, the number of deaths increased to 10, after a new death was recorded, while the number of injuries rose to 110, and the authorities decided to close the Trebil border crossing with Jordan.

While the number of injuries in Lebanon reached 78 after 15 new injuries were recorded, while the number of deaths reached 3.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced that the number of coronavirus infections in the country had risen to 104, after 4 new cases were registered.

The announcement came in light of strict precautionary measures taken by the Kuwaiti authorities to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.

Meanwhile, the Qatari Ministry of Health announced the recovery of 4 persons infected with Coronavirus after receiving treatment in the Center for Communicable Diseases and it was established that they are free of it, and the Ministry announced the registration of 17 new cases of Coronavirus.

For his part, the government contact office in Qatar announced the suspension of issuing immediate entry permits for arrivals from several European countries as of Sunday, as part of the precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus, and the decision includes citizens of Italy, France, Germany and Spain, and those coming from them.

The citizens of these countries who hold residence permits are excluded from this decision, provided that they are subject to the quarantine procedures in force in the State of Qatar for a period of 14 days.

The Government Communication Office stated that it was decided within the same procedures to temporarily suspend entry into the country for all travelers coming to Qatar from Sudan, whether for those with entry permits or holders of residence permits.

In Egypt, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi decided to suspend studies in universities and schools for a period of two weeks, starting from Sunday, as part of the precautionary measures to confront the spread of the Corona virus.

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that Sisi’s decision came after the discovery of 3 cases of Corona virus in schools, describing the decision to suspend the study as preventive.

Madbouly stressed in a press conference that the decision includes the various places used for an educational purpose, in order to prevent mixing and reduce the spread of the virus.

The Egyptian Prime Minister added that the total confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Egypt are 109.

Yemen decided to close the land ports, except for the movement of commercial, relief and humanitarian freight due to Corona, and to suspend flights to and from all Yemeni airports for a period of two weeks starting from Wednesday, in addition to suspending the study in educational institutions.

In Libya, the Misrata airport authorities decided to prevent foreigners from entering the airport due to the spread of the Coruna virus worldwide.

The authorities attributed the decision to the poor health capabilities in the Libyan state and the spread of the epidemic globally.

On the other hand, Mauritania decided to close all public and private educational institutions for a week, renewable due to the Corona virus.

In Iran, the Ministry of Health said that 97 people had died in the past 24 hours as a result of being infected with the Coronavirus, bringing the number of deaths to 611.

The Ministry announced the registration of 1,365 new cases of the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the number of cases to 12,729.

Local media also reported that the Ministry of Interior ordered the closure of religious sites and shrines in the city of Qom to limit the spread of Corona, and this decision comes after the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces announced the start of evacuating streets and shops in various cities, to limit the spread of Corona.

And in Indonesia, Jakarta Governor Anis Paswedan announced in a televised speech to him, just before the suspension of schools for two weeks, which can be extended in one of the largest Asian cities - where the number of students is about 1.5 million students - as a precautionary measure.
