The International Coalition announced the injury of three of its forces in a new attack today targeting the Taji base, which includes its forces and Iraqi air defense units, north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

This attack comes after a previous attack targeting al-Qaeda last Wednesday that killed two American and British soldiers, and as a result of which the American forces responded by bombing locations of the Iraqi Hezbollah in each of Jurf al-Sakhr, Musayyib, Najaf and Alexandria, killing six Iraqis, including police officers.

The Joint Operations Command in Iraq announced earlier today that 33 Katyusha rockets had landed on the base, wounding a number of employees of the air defense personnel.

In a statement, the leadership described the attack as a "brutal aggression", and confirmed that it would take all measures to pursue and arrest the perpetrators.

She also stressed that any reaction from the American side would serve as a nurturing for similar attacks and would weaken the capacity of the Iraqi state, which requires the speedy implementation of the parliament’s decision to remove foreign forces from the country.

On the other hand, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry announced the recall of the American ambassador to Baghdad and the delivery of a protest note.

In a statement, it also expressed its refusal and condemnation of the bombing of headquarters of the army, police and the popular crowd that American forces carried out on Thursday night, and considered it a violation of Iraqi sovereignty.

It decided earlier to file a complaint against the United States with the Security Council and another to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, accusing Washington of being responsible for bombing government and civilian security offices.

It also affirmed that the American bombing undermines counter-terrorism efforts and violates the agreement between Iraq and the international coalition.

On the other hand, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that it had summoned the Swiss ambassador, the patron of American interests, and informed him that Washington's policies in Iraq are totally wrong, and that it raises the tension greatly, as she put it.

It is noteworthy that about five thousand American soldiers are deployed in military bases in various parts of Iraq, including the Taji base.
