WHO Director-General Tiedros Adhanom Gebrysos said last Wednesday that the organization classifies the new Corona virus outbreak as a pandemic.

"We are very concerned about the levels of prevalence, its severity, and the levels of not taking the (necessary) measures," he added during a press conference.

The Corona virus, which appeared in China last December, has spread around the world, disrupting industry, stopping flights, closing schools and forcing officials to postpone sporting events and parties.

The World Health Organization declared the outbreak of corona a public health emergency of international concern on January 30 when the number of confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus (corona) that was monitored outside China was less than 100, in addition to the occurrence of eight cases of human infection.

The number of injuries reached more than 134,400 cases in 114 countries and the number of deaths was 5043 people.

For weeks, WHO officials have indicated that they might use the word "epidemic" as a descriptive term, but stressed that the word had no legal significance.

It should be noted that about 300 million students have stopped studying in 13 countries, entire countries such as Italy and Kuwait have been closed, travel to and from the United States and Europe has been banned, and dozens of conferences and events across the world have been canceled, we have tried to show the most important ones in this infographic.
