The leader of La France insoumise Jean-Luc Mélenchon estimated that the moment was not for "controversy" but for "solidarity and cohesion", Thursday by reacting to the televised address by the head of state on the coronavirus.

"We must seek by all means to come in useful" by going "to help the most isolated, weakened, abandoned," asked the chairman of the group of deputies LFI.

"There will soon be a much higher peak than what we know", therefore "the moment is not that of controversy, but of solidarity and cohesion, of the individual duty to respect the instructions", a- he added.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon also criticized Emmanuel Macron: "It will have taken a crisis, it is true worldwide, for the President of the Republic to understand that a model of the world is dead and that the care due to all is a priority, that "He is giving instructions to the European Central Bank and renouncing the budgetary rules with which he had overwhelmed us in the previous two years", he launched.
