March 12, 2020 "At this time of great difficulty, we are collaborating with other countries and with the EU institutions to guarantee citizens' health. In this context, we will not tolerate attitudes that interpret our interventions according to formal and abstract logic, without keeping account of the real needs of citizens ". The premier Giuseppe Conte says it in a note.

Conte stresses that "Europe requires member countries to take decisive measures in order to effectively tackle the health emergency. In particular, the central bank's task must be not to hinder, but to facilitate such interventions, creating favorable financial conditions for them. We expect policies and behaviors from the Central Bank and from all European institutions capable of meeting the challenges we face ", concludes the Prime Minister.
