Four days before his Champions League second leg match against Paris SG, Dortmund brought home a crucial victory for Mönchengladbach (2-1), which allowed him to take second place in the Bundesliga alone behind Munich on Saturday.

After 25 days, Erling Haaland and his teammates temporarily return to a point in Bayern Munich, which receives the poorly ranked Augsburg on Sunday.

Thorgan Hazard (8th) and Achraf Hakimi (71st) gave the victory to the BVB, Lars Stindl (50th) replied for Mönchengladbach.

Wednesday, Dortmund plays in Paris the return match of the Champions League round of 16 against PSG, after winning 2-1 in the first leg at Signal Iduna Park.
