Commercial centers in the country have designated counters at payment points and in the corridors of the centers to sell liquid sterilized packages, wet scented wipes and gags to customers, due to the increased demand on them by consumers, who prefer to use them to reduce the Corona virus.

And «Emirates Today» monitored the positioning of commercial centers display tables, containing masks, aseptic bottles, liquid and wet wipes, with the aim of attracting customers to purchase them to sterilize their hands, “Corona”, under the slogan “My Clean My Secret to Protect”.

And employees of the commercial centers attributed the assignment of counters to the sale of sterilizers to increase the demand for them from consumers, in the interest of public health and protection against the Corona virus.

An employee at a commercial center in Ajman said that the increase in the demand for liquid sterilizers, perfumed wet wipes and gags, pushed the center to allocate specific areas and counters in the corridors and at the payment points, in order to facilitate consumers' access to them.

He explained that the companies imported large quantities of liquid sterilizers and materials related to public health, to meet the growing demand from consumers.

He pointed out that the prices of sterilizers ranged between nine and 11 dirhams for a package that weighs up to 50 mm, while the price of a regular muzzle is up to 10 dirhams of specific use.

He added that sterilization packages were offered, in the last period, for sale in front of payment counters so that the consumer can purchase them without the trouble of searching for them, but with the increased demand for them and the spread of the Corona virus, the supplier companies and commercial centers were obliged to allocate counters, shelves and display tables in various regions, to provide them to consumers Wherever they go to buy in the mall.

An official at a commercial center in Umm Al Quwain pointed out that liquid sterilizers, masks and scented wet wipes are among the most popular products during the current period, as they are used personally, as they are small in size and any customer can carry them and sterilize his hands whenever needed.

He added that the center provided a number of liquid hand sanitizing packages of different prices and sizes, to cover the increasing demand from consumers, pointing out that some consumers prefer to purchase large packages of 500 mm for family use, while others prefer 50 mm packages for personal use.

He explained that after the increasing demand for the purchase of sterilizers, masks, and wet wipes, display tables, shelves and counters were allocated to sell products and make them accessible to consumers, as soon as they entered the commercial centers and points of sale, to maintain public cleanliness and reduce the Corona virus.

The supervisor of the health products department at a commercial center in Ras Al Khaimah said that the commercial centers must meet the needs of consumers and are in line with the health crisis the world is going through to reduce the Corona virus. Therefore, large quantities of liquid sterilizers, wet wipes and masks were imported in order to meet Consumer needs in relation to personal hygiene, especially since some consumers cannot do without hand sanitizer, and they purchase large quantities of small packages as a result of their frequent use of them.

He added that the prices of liquid sterilizers for hands did not rise due to the Corona virus, and that the centers are committed to the prices available in the markets, but that their prices differ from one product to another, according to the quality, the name of the producing company and the size of each pack.

He pointed out that allocating points to sell liquid sterilizers, masks and scented wet wipes does not mean exploiting the health crisis, but to meet the needs of consumers after the increased demand for it due to the spread of the Corona virus.
