Gailhaguet, who reigned for two decades on the FFSG, ended up resigning last Saturday, less than a week after the Minister of Sports Roxana Maracineanu called him to do so, in the midst of revelations of sexual violence in the skating, especially by former champion Sarah Abitbol.

In the meantime, it is the President of the Federal Council, the supervisory and control body of the federation, Maryvonne Del Torchio, who ensures the interim at the head of the federation.
