Villeurbanne suffered its second defeat in a row in the French Basketball Championship on Tuesday at Chalon-sur-Saône 99 to 96 after overtime and gave up first place in Monaco and Dijon.

ASVEL had cashed Sunday at the Astroballe against Boulogne-Levallois their first home defeat of the season in Elite.

Monaco and Dijon won against Châlons-Reims (88-74) and Pau-Orthez (81-64) and are one step ahead of the defending champions.
