The Investigative Committee of the Astrakhan region is conducting an audit on the fact of the incident at school No. 32 with an in-depth study of subjects of a physical and mathematical profile. According to local media reports, a biology teacher was suspected of having an intimate relationship with a 15-year-old ninth grader. A video was distributed among the students of the school, in which allegedly the lovers were captured.

According to Andrei Khegai, senior assistant to the head of the investigative department for media relations, they learned about the incident from media reports.

“This fact is being verified. No applications were received from the student’s mother. We learned about everything from the media, ”Hegai said.

According to local media, the teacher, supposedly flirting with the student, was 35-year-old Ekaterina Savinova, a biology teacher, candidate of pedagogical sciences, who won the “Teacher of the Year in Astrakhan” competition in 2019.

According to information provided on the school’s website, Savinova previously held the position of deputy director for educational work. Her curriculum vitae indicates that in 2007 she graduated from Astrakhan State University. She worked at school No. 32 on September 1, 2009. In 2018, advanced training took place in the online center “System of Modern Pedagogical Technologies”. According to information on the social network of educators, Savinova reported that "she can’t live without a school anymore."

The city administration RT said that after the incident was publicized in the media, the school principal Lilia Gorokhova resigned of her own free will. According to information on the website of the educational institution, she held this position since February 12, 1996. Following her, Savinova herself quit.

“The director quit voluntarily on February 7th. The Education Department conducts a check on the fact of what happened, in the framework of which class teachers of the ninth grades are interviewed. The Education Department appealed to the Investigative Committee with a request to inform about the circumstances of the incident, ”Vladislav Zubanov, head of the information policy department, told RT.

At school 32 they declined to comment, citing employment. In turn, students of school 32 speak well of Savinova and claim that "she was a very good teacher." According to the students of the school, the teacher was blackmailed by a video recording, so that she put it to the authors of the “five”. However, because of the refusal, it was widespread.

“No one knows who exactly recorded this video. I didn’t see anything like that on it. The whole class suggests that the teacher could simply be framed to make a scandal and she was fired from school. We already guess who could do this, but there is no evidence. She’s humanly sorry for her, ”one of the students told RT on condition of anonymity.

In addition, many students claim that the biology teacher could not do this.

“This is a teacher with a capital letter, which not only gave me but also others so much knowledge that every graduate is still grateful to her for the work she did,” the students shared with RT and asked not to blame the teacher until the situation was clarified. without reason.

However, Savinova herself is now unavailable for comment. The woman deleted all her accounts from social networks.
