The World Health Organization (WHO) says the world has faced a chronic shortage of masks and protective clothing due to the spread of new coronavirus infections.
"The demand for test kits and masks has increased up to 100 times and prices up to 20 times higher than usual," said the WHO Secretary.
The WHO also said it will "work with related organizations to find a solution to the lack of equipment."
