These days, the political leadership has taken note of the preliminary result for 2019. The information provided is that the municipality is making a negative result of SEK 41.2 million. A big step in the wrong direction when compared to the previous forecast which showed minus 14.5 million.
"We can conclude that the outcome is far more negative than the forecasts we were previously given access to, and on which we have also based our budget for 2020," writes Muris Beslagic (S), chair of the local council, in a press release.
The two years before that, the municipality has pretty much and consistently gone with the plus. The largest deficit lies with the Social Committee. Now, hard work is waiting, says Beslagic.
- Now it is important to roll up the sleeves and work structured forward. It will be tough but I am convinced that we can do it.
