It can be really tough conditions for this year's Storm Chef competition, with challenging cold and wind. In previous years, it has happened that fires have gone out, that food has frozen to ice and that cutlery is stuck in the jury's lips as a result of the grim climate. Sometimes the chefs have had to go in and warm up to be able to complete the competition.

- It was much milder weather than we are used to, it usually is minus 25. So it has been a nice day with good food, says Birgitta Corin, CEO of Tärnaby Fjällhotell, who organizes the competition.

Winner: Martin Agerhorn

Martin Agerhorn from Stockholm won this year's competition and can now call himself Storm Chef of the Year.

The jury, led by Michelin chef Martin Moses, motivated the winning right like this: To exemplify, with good knowledge and touch, the main raw material, the char. Created a well-cooked and warm dish where each raw material appears in taste and texture. Great for both restaurants in Sweden and in the mountains.
