In its third season, "Makers of Hope" received a record participation that exceeded 92,000 people, in an initiative from 15 Arab countries and 23 foreign countries, through voluntary humanitarian and charitable projects that covered various aspects of humanitarian, charitable, developmental and community work, whether their owners implemented them as individuals or as volunteer teams or institutions. And non-profit organizations, relying on their personal resources or limited support through community donations.

The “Makers of Hope” ceremony will witness the celebration of the heroes of the industry of hope by reviewing influential and inspiring human stories, highlighting a group of unidentified humanitarian soldiers who devoted their efforts and resources to serving noble causes and to helping the fragile and disadvantaged groups in their societies, before crowning the first maker of hope in the Arab world.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said that this year the "Makers of Hope" ceremony embraces a great humanitarian project, which gives new hope to thousands of hearts in need of care.

Under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the "Makers of Hope" initiative, the largest initiative of its kind in honoring the bidders in the Arab world, is organizing a coronation ceremony for the first hopeful makers of positive change, who contribute to building a better reality in their societies through their projects Voluntary Humanity, out of more than 92,000 Arab hope makers who participated in this year’s version of the “Makers of Hope” initiative, under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Initiatives International.

For the first time, the Hope Makers Party will witness the adoption of support for a humanitarian project to be the Arab Humanitarian Year project, in order to consolidate the culture of humanitarian action by uniting the efforts of the largest number of people to support an Arab project of shared human value.

The ceremony will be held on February 20 in the "Coca-Cola Arena" in City Walk, with attendance expected to reach 12 thousand people from all over the Arab world.

The “Makers of Hope” initiative this year enters a new stage in supporting humanitarian work through the Humanitarian Year project, within the framework of a new vision through which makers of hope start to more comprehensive horizons in humanitarian work by creating a social movement towards supporting humanitarian projects with an Arab dimension, so that it seeks to shed The spotlight on a humanitarian or charitable project with an Arab dimension, touches on a wide cross-section of concerned or targeted groups, and has far-reaching results, and the largest effort of its kind is mobilized in a vivid translation of individual, societal and institutional responsibility in support of sustainable Arab humanitarian initiatives.

The makers of hope initiative announced this year’s project to adopt the project of building Dr. Magdy Yaqoub Heart Hospital in Egypt as the Arab Humanitarian Year project, so that the proceeds from the ceremony will be allocated to support it.

The new specialized hospital will be one of the largest therapeutic institutions of its kind in the Arab world, through qualified medical staff and medical and surgical equipment and equipment, which is the most modern in the world, as the hospital will provide its services for treating heart patients from all over the Arab world for free.

The hospital will perform 12,000 surgeries annually, 70% of which target children, and outpatient clinics will receive more than 80,000 patients annually, and more than 1,000 doctors and surgeons specializing in heart diseases will be trained through the Education and Training Center of the Majdi Yaqoub Foundation for Heart Diseases and Research, so that They are in the highly qualified medical staff of the hospital.

Dr. Magdy Yacoub is one of the most famous cardiac surgeons in the world, and he is an Egyptian-British Professor, who has performed more than 2000 transplants and about 40 thousand open heart surgeries.

Dr. Magdy Yacoub studied medicine at Cairo University and moved to Britain in 1962 to work in the chest hospital in London, then he became a specialist in heart and lung surgery at Harfield Hospital (1969 - 2001), and director of the Department of Scientific Research and Education (since 1992), and was appointed professor at the National Institute Heart and lung in 1986, and has been interested in developing techniques for heart transplant surgery since 1967, and Queen Elizabeth II awarded him the knighthood in 1966, and he won the British Pride Award in 2007 for having performed more than 20,000 heart operations in Britain, and is called in the British media The nickname "King of Hearts".

Sir Jacob won several honors, including the Order of the State of Pakistan, the Order of the Lebanese Republic, the Medal of the City of Parma, the Order of the City of Athens, and the Ray Fish Award from the Heart Institute of Texas for Scientific Achievement in Cardiovascular Diseases in 1998. He also received the Distinguished Achievement Award in 1999, the International Golden Hypocrits Award for Excellence in Cardiac Surgery in 2003, the International Society of Cardiac Surgery and Lung Transplantation in 2004, the Gold Medal from the European Society of Cardiology in 2006, the Hamdan Award for Volunteers in Humanitarian Medical Services in 2006, and the Medal of Merit from the President Perhaps the International Academy M cardiovascular in 2007, and the necklace of the Nile Great for science and humanity in 2011 and others.

In 1983, Dr. Jacob performed a heart transplant for an Englishman named John McCaverty, for whom he entered the Guinness Book of Records as the longest living person with a transmitted heart, for 33 years until the death of John McAverte in 2016.

The Makers of Hope initiative is the largest humanitarian initiative of its kind in the Arab world to honor those who give, seeking to help the disadvantaged and fragile groups in their societies, and to fight despair and hatred and address the most prominent challenges that hinder development in their homeland through their individual and institutional efforts, simple and limited, without achieving any profit or personal benefit or Material.

The first session of the "makers of hope" received the participation of more than 65 thousand hope makers, while the nominations for the second session amounted to more than 87 thousand candidates, and five makers of hope in each session were awarded with a prize of one million dirhams each, to help them continue the humanitarian work.

The makers of hope party this year will witness the participation of the largest number of stars, artists, intellectuals, media professionals and social media celebrities in the Arab world, in addition to a group of well-known personalities in humanitarian work in the UAE.

And will participate in the technical and entertainment paragraphs of the concert of makers of hope, the largest of its kind, a distinguished elite of the most famous stars of the Arab world, among them the Kuwaiti singer Nawal, the Emirati artist Belqis and the Palestinian artist Mohammed Assaf.

This year, the Hope Makers Party is gaining a distinctive global footprint through the participation of international music artist Redoune with a distinguished song. Besides his fame as a singer, Radwan is one of the most famous composers and music producers in the world, where he has collaborated with well-known singers and singers such as Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Yuto, Nikki Minaj, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Mark Anthony, Asher and others. He was nominated for several high-grade "Grammy" musical awards and won three awards.

Radwan is known for his active contributions to many humanitarian and charitable initiatives, and in 2011 he founded the international artist 2101 Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to helping disadvantaged and disadvantaged youth to motivate them to achieve their goals in life through music, arts and education.
