The ceremony will be held on February 20 in the "Coca-Cola Arena" in City Walk, with attendance expected to reach 12 thousand people from all over the Arab world.

The makers of hope initiative announced this year’s project to adopt the project of building Dr. Magdy Yaqoub Heart Hospital in Egypt as the Arab Humanitarian Year project, so that the proceeds from the ceremony will be allocated to support it.

The new specialized hospital will be one of the largest therapeutic institutions of its kind in the Arab world, through qualified medical staff and medical and surgical equipment and equipment, which is the most modern in the world, as the hospital will provide its services for treating heart patients from all over the Arab world for free.

The hospital will perform 12,000 surgeries annually, 70% of which target children, and outpatient clinics will receive more than 80,000 patients annually, and more than 1,000 doctors and surgeons specializing in heart diseases will be trained through the Education and Training Center of the Majdi Yaqoub Foundation for Heart Diseases and Research, so that They are in the highly qualified medical staff of the hospital.

Dr. Magdy Yacoub is one of the most famous cardiac surgeons in the world, and he is an Egyptian-British Professor, who has performed more than 2000 transplants and about 40 thousand open heart surgeries.

Dr. Magdy Yacoub studied medicine at Cairo University and moved to Britain in 1962 to work in the chest hospital in London, then he became a specialist in heart and lung surgery at Harfield Hospital (1969 - 2001), and director of the Department of Scientific Research and Education (since 1992), and was appointed professor at the National Institute Heart and lung in 1986, and has been interested in developing techniques for heart transplant surgery since 1967, and Queen Elizabeth II awarded him the knighthood in 1966, and he won the British Pride Award in 2007 for having performed more than 20,000 heart operations in Britain, and is called in the British media The nickname "King of Hearts".

Sir Jacob won several honors, including the Order of the State of Pakistan, the Order of the Lebanese Republic, the Medal of the City of Parma, the Order of the City of Athens, and the Ray Fish Award from the Heart Institute of Texas for Scientific Achievement in Cardiovascular Diseases in 1998. He also received the Distinguished Achievement Award in 1999, the International Golden Hypocrits Award for Excellence in Cardiac Surgery in 2003, the International Society of Cardiac Surgery and Lung Transplantation in 2004, the Gold Medal from the European Society of Cardiology in 2006, the Hamdan Award for Volunteers in Humanitarian Medical Services in 2006, and the Medal of Merit from the President Perhaps the International Academy M cardiovascular in 2007, and the necklace of the Nile Great for science and humanity in 2011 and others.
