Last summer, Rural Minister Jennie Nilsson (S) received an invitation to visit island farmers who have struggled with food shortages due to drought. And during Friday she visited several farms in Öland and talked to the farmers about their problems and fears.
- We have to work broadly on this issue. We can give support to the individual farmers who want to make investments to get climate benefit in their production, ”she says.
"We are facing a new climate situation and we must have an interaction between the industry, politics and research," she says.
