Egyptian artist Ehab Tawfik lost at his dawn Thursday, after a fire broke out on the first floor of his residence in Nasr City in the capital, Cairo, as a result of an electrical fault in a heating machine in his room.

Local sites reported that the Egyptian artist tried to save his father, but the fire and smoke prevented this, before the civil protection forces intervened to extinguish the fire, and that the rest of the residents and workers at the villa were evacuated from the building without severe injuries.

Tawfiq explained in media statements that the fire broke out in the early hours of Thursday morning, and he said that he witnessed from the second floor where the fumes reside rising from his father's residence on the floor, and that he rushed to save him, but the flames and the intensity of smoke prevented this and prevented everyone from entering it .

A source in the Cairo Security Directorate revealed that the preliminary examination of the accident indicates that an electrical fault occurred in a fireplace on the floor, and that Ihab Tawfik's father suffocated and resulted in his death.
