Belgium's King Philip visited a homeless shelter in Brussels, with more than 250 people, late Wednesday night, as local media used the visit to draw attention to the medical and psychosocial services provided by the shelter.

It is noteworthy that minors make up more than a quarter of the number of people who live in the shelter, and that there are 21 of them under the age of three, according to what was stated in a report of the RTBF station about Philip's visit.

The report stated that the shelter - which provides health facilities, meals and services from many relief organizations - has reached its maximum capacity.

Philip spoke to several single mothers and visited the playroom in the shelter, according to the website «sudinfo.be».

It is reported that King Philip and his wife Queen Matilda, have four children between the ages of 11 and 18 years.

The Belgian royal family resides in Kasserine, Brussels.
