Samsung recently unveiled its highly anticipated project, "neon", a chat robot for human artificial intelligence.

A chattab is a chat-based technology that is controlled by a specific algorithm, which can be seen, for example, in the chat box that you find when entering product sales sites and that offers to help you or answer your inquiries regarding the sale or products.

But this realistic chat from Samsung is not intended to replace humans but to "make us more human," according to Samsung, it is not designed to work as service providers or to answer questions.

The mysterious company - which emerged from Samsung Technologies - also known as Starlab, began displaying its technology called "Neon" at the Consumer Products Expo 2020 in Las Vegas, describing it as "a virtual object created mathematically to appear to be a real human being, with the ability to Show feelings and intelligence. "

Neon shows real character video clips. "Neon are not smart assistants, Android devices, or copies of real people," the company said in a joint discussion with reporters. They cannot tell you the weather or how old Abraham Lincoln was when he died.

Flying to CES tomorrow, and the code is finally working :) Ready to demo CORE R3. It can now autonomously create new expressions, new movements, new dialog (even in Hindi), completely different from the original captured data. pic.twitter.com/EPAJJrLyjd

The company likened neon characters to boys who looked like their fathers, but were an independent being, where he could express feelings and learn from experiences. Unlike the AI assistants, Neon does not know everything, and they are not an Internet interface to request weather updates or to play your favorite music.

She explained that instead, she is designed to talk and act like a real person, where they can form memories and learn new skills but have no physical embodiment, at least not now.

Neon can help with goal-oriented tasks or can be customized to help with tasks that require a human touch, as they can work as teachers, financial advisors, or health care providers, as well as work as spokespeople or TV broadcasters.

Neon said in a live show that although he could borrow the characteristics of real people with a similar appearance and sound, it could not be an accurate reproduction of current humans. Each neon is unique, with its own personality.

"There are millions of species on our planet, and we hope to add another. The neon will be our friends, collaborators, and our friends, who are constantly learning, developing, and memories are formed from their interactions," said Neon CEO and head of Star Pranav Mestre Labs.

Before the Consumer Products Show started, Neon made a fuss at the world's largest technical fair, despite - or perhaps because of - that nobody really knew what it was, according to CNET.
