The samples taken show that it is a noro virus. A virus that is related to winter sickness. Samples have been taken on the food that was served during New Year's Eve and the sample answers are expected to come later this week.
- Since some of those who have been ill have eaten at the restaurant and others have eaten from their catering food, it goes against the fact that people at the restaurant have infected each other, says Johanna Hänninen, unit manager at the Environmental and Health Protection Administration to Jönköpings-Posten.
The restaurant owner tells the newspaper that they have not yet figured out what is behind the outbreak, but that they are assisting the environmental and health management in their investigation.
