Reuters reported in a statement by a senior U.S. government official that multiple rockets were used to attack the U.S. military's base in western Iraq at Al-Assad. Iran's state television also reports that Iran's Revolutionary Guard has fired missiles at Al-Assad base.
Over the United States and Iran, tensions were growing as American troops killed commanders of Iran's elite troops.
