Two Premier League residents, Brighton and Aston Villa, took the door in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday for their entry into the competition and Manchester United could not do better than a draw against Wolverhampton (0-0) which forces him to play a support match in an already infernal calendar.

. replay for Man United, City without a hitch

The shock Saturday between Wolverhampton and Manchester United, led to a sad 0-0, which forces the two teams to meet again to decide, this time at Old Trafford.

A "replay" that does not suit any team, especially the Red Devils, whose calendar is overloaded with the Europa League, the League Cup and race to the top 4 in the Premier League.

Manchester United started without some of their executives, including Martial and Rashford, despite the possibility of saving their average season with the FA Cup.

And the men of Ole Gunnar Solskjær did not frame a single shot and showed a face quite similar to that of last Wednesday at Arsenal (2-0 defeat).

They will have to show something else Tuesday, in the semi-final first leg of the League Cup against Manchester City who made the trade (4-1) against Port Vale (D4) Saturday thanks in particular to a goal by Sergio Agüero, his 15th this season with the Citizens.

. the Frenchy Knockaert wears Fulham

This is not the feat of the year, but it is an important performance for Fulham, 2-1 winner of Aston Villa.

The current 5th in Championship (D2) needed to beat an elite formation - even without their best players - to give themselves a boost of confidence.

The West London club logically qualified thanks to a very good Anthony Knockaert. The former Guingampais, loaned by Brighton, was the essential element of the Cottagers' victory, thanks to a generosity in the effort and above all a splendid strike in full skylight (54th, 1-0). The equalization of Aston Villa by El Ghazi (63) was only an episode, Harry Arter giving a definitive advantage to Fulham ten minutes later, thanks to a distant shot in the same window (74, 2-1 ).

. Watford waste

Finalist of the last edition of the FA Cup, Watford made his fans live one of the worst afternoons by spoiling three goals ahead of the Tranmere Rovers (3-3), currently relegated to League One (D3) .

Nigel Pearson's players believed they had qualified in the 34th minute, when Roberto Pereyra scored his team's third goal, after those of Ayotomiwa Dele-Bashiru (12th) and Nathaniel Chalobah (14th).

The Hornets even led by three goals another twenty-five minutes from the final whistle. However, they inexplicably collapsed, conceding three goals from Connor Jennings (65th), Emmanuel Monthe (78th) and Paul Mullin from the penalty spot (87th).

The Londoners, currently relegated to the Premier League, will therefore have to travel for a "replay" with the Rovers, in the suburbs of Liverpool.

. Brighton sinks

FA Cup semifinalist last season, Brighton suffered a surprise loss at home to Sheffield Wednesday (0-1).

The visitors scored shortly after the hour by Adam Reach (0-1) and could even have widened the gap late in the game.

Newcastle is also pushed to the "replay" after his parity score on the field of the formation of League One (D3) Rochdale (1-1)

No problem, however, for Leicester against Wigan (2-0).

Following this third round of the FA Cup Sunday, including the Liverpool - Everton derby (5:01 pm).
