Ana Oramas , the only deputy of the Canary Coalition (CC), has surprised the chamber and announced that she will vote no to the investiture of Pedro Sánchez, breaking the voting discipline of her party. On Friday, the CC Political Council unanimously decided to abstain from the investiture. Immediately, the nationalist formation has announced that it will open a file.

In a very hard intervention, Oramas has charged frontally against the socialist candidate for "kneeling before secessionism" and for having agreed the Government of Spain "with those who want to destroy Spain."

The Canarian nationalist deputy has revealed that she has been "pressured" in "all possible ways" to betray those who voted in the general elections of November 10, although she has preferred to breach the slogans of her training. "No, no and 1,000 times no. I cannot betray the country and its citizens, nor the canaries, whose were they are far above you. There are limits that cannot be exceeded, I will not be complicit and I will vote no ", he said, reaping the applause of the PP deputies.

As he has explained to this newspaper, Oramas will vote no on the first investiture vote that takes place this Sunday. And he will keep that vote also on Tuesday, January 7, in the final vote.

A few minutes after this announcement, Coalición Canaria has announced that it will open a file to Oramas for having broken the voting discipline. And he has assured that he will do it "especially when the decision has been unanimously of our highest body", the National Political Council of CC.

Oramas has warned from the rostrum that "the demolition of the State" is being inaugurated with a Sanchez who aspires to be president of the Government after having agreed with those who want to "destroy Spain."

"For a long time we have been doing bad politics in Spain and that the parties have stopped taking care of citizens, but never this absurdity that stars in the constitutionalist left and that allows the right through electoral selfishness," he denounced.

The veteran deputy has awaited the acting president who agrees "with those who proclaimed the Catalan Republic". And that he is willing to open a bilateral negotiation with the Catalan Executive, which, in his opinion, represents an "offense" for the rest of the autonomous communities.

"He is not making a mistake but is willing to betray the entire society in exchange for a handful of votes; it is regrettable," he emphasized. Throughout this week, Oramas has defended the negative vote against the left wing of the Canary Coalition, which was debated between itself and abstention.

Finally, the top management body of CC decided unanimously on Friday the abstention of its only deputy. But she has decided to disobey the Political Council to "not betray my voters."

The deputy of CC has also addressed the leader of the PP, Pablo Casdo, who has made "co-responsible" of what is happening to have said for days "what others had to do while waiting sitting." "Political tacticism above the citizen interest. Do not wash your hands like Pontius Pilate," he has released.

In his response, Pedro Sánchez has invited Oramas to reflect and sit down with the PSOE to study an abstention. "Do not join the block of the blockade, join the block that wants the legislature to start," he asked.

Oramas has thanked Sánchez for his tone, reminded him that she was "the only one" who supported him in the investiture debate he presented after reaching a pact with Citizens. But this time he cannot do it because "I have never voted against my country, my convictions and my land."
