Abu Dhabi Police seized 1.5 tons of drugs, a million, and 200,000 narcotic pills over the past year in separate operations, which achieved great success in dealing with the pest and preventing its spread in society.
The Directorate of Narcotics Control in the Criminal Security Sector of Abu Dhabi Police affirmed its continuous interest in confronting drug traffickers, revealing their methods and pursuing them wherever they are found, until they are arrested in order to obtain appropriate punishment for their crimes.
She stated that drug smuggling and promotion are considered cross-border organized crime, and are run by criminal gangs that must be undermined and eliminated in their whereabouts, explaining that the Abu Dhabi Police foiled many drug smuggling operations, and arrested a large number of drug traffickers and promoters in many countries of the world, In cooperation with the various police services locally, regionally and internationally.
